Los Angeles Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC) held the 28th Annual Eddy Awards on November 8, 2023, on the field of SoFi Stadium. The Eddy Awards is a cocktail reception, dinner, and awards gala to support the fulfillment of LAEDC’s mission of reinventing our economy to collaboratively advance growth and prosperity for all.
More than 600 people attended the event this year to celebrate economic reinvention, while working together to create more equity and inclusion in our diverse communities. In the event, JBA Business and Commerce Committee Members had a greeting with Mr. Stephen Cheung, LAEDC President, to express our gratitude for LAEDC’s continuous partnership with JBA.
According to the 2023 Foreign Direct Investment in California Report by The World Trade Center Los Angeles (WTCLA), Japan is the foremost investor in California, with the number of created jobs, the number of establishments, and the total amount of estimated wages.
